Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Dossier (the "Service"), operated from Moldova ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. What the Service does

Dossier generates research briefings — statistics, charts, tables, and citations — on a topic you provide, using AI models (including Google Gemini) combined with web search data (including Google Search and Tavily). Generated content is produced automatically and may contain errors, outdated figures, or inaccuracies. Dossiers are provided for informational purposes only and do not constitute financial, legal, medical, or investment advice. You are responsible for independently verifying any figure before relying on it.

2. Accounts

You must provide a valid email address and keep your password secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. One account per person; do not share login credentials.

3. Subscriptions & billing

The free "Analyst" tier includes a limited number of dossiers and assistant questions per month. The paid "Intelligence Pro" tier is billed $5.99 per month on a recurring basis until cancelled. Billing is processed by Creem.io, our merchant of record, who handles payment collection and tax compliance on our behalf. You can cancel at any time from your account; see our Refund Policy for how cancellations and refunds are handled. Full pricing is on our Pricing page.

4. Acceptable use

Do not use the Service for illegal, harmful, or abusive purposes.
Do not attempt to circumvent rate limits, credit limits, or security measures.
Do not reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell access to the Service itself.
Do not use generated content to impersonate a real research organization or misrepresent AI-generated figures as independently verified fact.

5. Intellectual property

You may use and share the specific dossiers generated for your account. The underlying software, design, and branding of the Service remain our property. Because dossier content is AI-generated from public sources, it may not be unique to you and we make no exclusivity guarantee over its contents.

6. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties — Google (Gemini API, Search grounding, Analytics), Tavily (search), Pexels/Unsplash (stock imagery), and Creem (billing) — each governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their availability or accuracy.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including decisions made based on AI-generated content.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Moldova.
